Diet and Holidays -Not a Weight Loss Nightmare
Ditch the extra pounds
The terms diet and holidays seem like an oxymoron but they don’t have to be. This holiday
season choose weight loss foods and
health and nutrition instead of junk
food and overindulging.
The holidays can be an indulgent time which is why people tend to make such
drastic New Years resolutions come January. Part of the diet problem over the
holidays is the parties and dinners galore serving incredible food and treats
that only come around once a year. As a result, we tend to indulge at every event
and then wonder why we’ve gained 10 pounds in one month.
To curb holiday weight gain try choosing weight-smart foods. Every party tends
to have healthy options, so if you’re at a cocktail-style party stick with the
fruits and veggies; and if you’re at a dinner party, embrace the lean meat and
vegetable dishes.Holiday dieting involves
a concerted effort to pull off but if you’re victorious –it provides an incredible
feeling of accomplishment.
Therefore, prepare for battle and strive to eat weight-smart and nutritious
foods to avoid overindulging in goodies.
