Trends in Health
How to Overcome Today’s Inactive Lifestyle
When looking back over the past 100 years, many movements in health have
dominated the trend ‘du jour.’ Some trends came in the form of eating, some in
the form of eating plans and others in form
of weight loss exercise. Whatever form the trend
materialized, we’re a health-conscious society always seeking new
ways to diet, slim-down, look younger and be healthier.
In the past, much of the work people performed was manual, which made the need to
go for a run or take a step class an absurd and even far-fetched thought.
However, these days with machines assisting much of the work we
perform, our activity level has dropped -hence the proliferation of the running
shoe, desire to go to the gym and propensity to watch our
caloric intake.
Whether you sit at a desk, raise kids or enjoy retirement, our lives have become
less active, and as a result, our awareness of health-related topics has grown
while we seek to shrink the size of our waistlines.
Being conscious our well-being is half the battle when it comes to sustainable
weight loss. Despite the fact that our lives are less active, we can lead healthy
lifestyles by finding the right eating plan, exercising regularly and
making a conscious effort to be health-aware. Having this
consciousness is the first step to a healthy lifestyle!
