Low cholesterol diets are based on
extremely healthy weight loss principals. Typically a
diet program based on
lowering cholesterol is centered on eating low fat, lean and natural foods. It
involves getting back to the basics of healthy
eating.
So many of the foods we eat are far from basic -they are processed and
imitations of the
real thing. We tend to want to grab the orange juice infused with Echinacea,
protein and whatever else before we’d just eat an orange –a real, natural and
healthy fruit.
Consider your eating habits; do you eat a lot of products simulating the real
thing? Do you have a colorful plate full of fruits and/or veggies at every meal? Do
you buy lean meats and low fat milk products?
A healthy and heart-healthy diet provides multiple benefits. Firstly you’ll
be helping your heart. Secondly, you’ll be saving your body from the many
chemicals that are now in processed foods. Thirdly, you’ll also likely
experience some weight loss. Just by
observing, being aware and acting on these simple principals you will have taken
significant steps to a healthier you.
