The Reverse Diet -On How to Lose Weight
Change it Up
The reverse diet is a simple concept: eat dinner for breakfast, breakfast for
dinner and a light lunch. In 1999 Tricia Cunningham learned
how to lose weight with this method and
went from 297 to 172 pounds in 9 months. Now she is a living example of this
method and is adding her regime to the volumes of
weight loss information available.
If you’re looking to lose weight with a free
diet plan and don’t want to sacrifice what you’re eating, this may be a good
method to try. Although, the creator of this diet didn’t go from a size 22 to size 1
by only reversing her diet; she also cut out alcohol, caffeine, salt, sugar and
carbonated beverages. Therefore, it would seem that for those who want put their
diet in ‘turbo’ mode, cutting these items out would be a worthwhile consideration.
The rationale behind this upside-down and free diet plan is quite logical in
that it encourages people to start off the day with a larger balanced meal and
then taper the amount of food eaten throughout the day. By eating a large and
nutritious meal in the morning, the body has a longer active period to burn off
the calories. Similarly, in the evening you eat the least and so the body
doesn’t have to burn as many calories as it normally would in the case of a
large dinner.
This diet plan may not work for everyone as it
involves dedication and a definite change in lifestyle. In addition, this diet
encourages counter-cultural eating in that most people in North America tend to
have larger dinners and smaller breakfasts. Either way, it’s an interesting
concept and provides another option for those on the diet prowl.
